To the editor:
The Memorial Day Parade is to be held on Monday, May 26, 2008 under the direction of the American Legion Post 88. The Parade will start forming on the back street of the University of Maine Presque Isle Campus at 9 a.m.     Prior to the Parade, at 9 a.m., Memorial Ceremonies will be held at the Fairmount Cemetery on the Houlton Road.
At 10 a.m. the parade will depart from the south entrance of the College and travel north on Main Street with a stop at the Park Street Bridge for a service honoring the Naval Veterans. The parade will then proceed to the Veterans Memorial Park where the remainder of the service will be held honoring all veterans. This service honors both those living and those who gave their lives for their country in all the wars and conflicts in which our great country has been involved.
If anyone would like to take part and hasn’t been asked, feel free to contact Carl McGlauflin at 762-6971 or Burns Weeks at 769-5391 and make your wishes known.
