    QUIET ACTS of community service are taking place from all reaches of the region — Island Falls to Fort Kent in the aftermath of recent flooding. For example, members of the Island Falls Fire Department helped a local family, above, after rising water caused havoc in their home April 30. More than 400 structures were affected by the floodwaters, including 200 that were severely damaged.
