Contributed photographMay 27 marked a milestone for eleven aspiring Certified Nurse Assistants. A pinning ceremony was held to recognize their accomplishments. Remarks were shared by their instructor Becky Russell and a former CNA, A.J. Tapley, R.N., who encouraged the soon-to-be CNAs to continue in the healthcare field to pursue their dreams. Friends and relatives participated in the pinning. These students began the 220-hour course in December 2010 with a Career Pathways orientation to healthcare jobs. They completed the CNA course this spring with their clinical rotation at Madigan Estates and by earning honors in their final state exam.
