Youth in the Houlton Parks and Recreation Department’s Hershey Track and Field Program competed in the District meet, with 13 youth qualifying for the states today. The top three best in each category advanced.
For girls ages 11-12, Amelia Hanning, third 4×100 relay, second in the 100-meter dash and sixth in the standing long jump; Tessa Roshto, third in the 4×100 relay; Hannah Jacobs, seventh in the 200-meter dash; Victoria Holmes, third in the 4×100 relay, fifth in the 400-meter dash and third in the softball throw; Carolyn Mooers, fifth in the standing long jump; Rebecca Mooers, eighth in the softball throw; Kolleen Bouchard, second in the softball throw and Lexi Fore, third in the 4×100 relay.

In the boys 11-12 age group, Joshua Sutton was eighth in the softball throw, while Dawson McLaughlin was second in the standing long jump.
In the 13-14 girls division, Emily Mooers, third in the 100-meter dash; Lollah Brown, sixth in the 200-meter dash and Lyndsay Jones, fifth in the 200-meter dash.
For boys in the 13-14-year-old category, Isaiha Littleton was seventh in the standing long jump.
Other team members were Josh Miller, Zachary Gonya, Nolan Jacobs, Emily Miller, Trynity Plummer and Caila Keber.
