To the editor:
The Town Of Merrill and the Merrill Millstream Part Committee wish to thank the Junior Class of Southern Aroostook Community School, their adviser Lynn Gustin and Cheryl Locke for the volunteer work done at the Millstream Park in June of 2011.
The Junior Class of SACS adopted the Park as a community service project and donated many hours of labor to the beautification of the Millstream Park.
The town officials appreciate the effort very much and everyone who visits the park will enjoy the fruits of your labor. The desire to do community service is a special character trait and one that I admire very much, even more so when such it is present in young people. When I see such high quality character traits in our youth, I am greatly encouraged for the future of our community.
