Driving Dynamics course rescheduled
    The Maine Department of Highway Safety Driving Dynamics class that was scheduled to be held at the Houlton Higher Education Center on June 11 has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 25 — same time and place — 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. This session is for licensed state of Maine drivers who need points or who wish to apply for an insurance discount. The course fee is $40. Students should bring their Maine driver’s license and their Social Security number to the class. Students must pre-register by Thursday, June 23.
    Call Adult Education at 521-3100 extension 5 to pre-register, and stop by the office at 18 Military St. to pay for the class.
Sen. Collins’ staff coming to southern Aroostook
    U.S. Sen. Susan Collins announced that a representative from her Aroostook County Office will hold office hours on Thursday, June 16 in Sherman from 10-11 a.m at the Sherman Town Office, 36 School St.; in Oakfield from noon to 1 p.m.  at the Oakfield Community Center, 250 Oakfield Smyrna Road; and in Island Falls from 2-3 p.m. at the Island Falls Town Office, 68 Houlton Road.
    Staff Assistant Lorie Ireland will be available to provide assistance with federal issues and agencies such as Social Security, Veterans Affairs, and Citizenship and Immigration. No appointment is necessary.

Houlton Fair invites exhibitors
    It’s time to get your items ready for the Exhibit Hall at the Houlton Agricultural Fair. Fair dates this year are July 1 – 4.
    Bring your food, sewing, quilting, ceramics, woodworking, baskets, photography, art, canning, metal works, clay, stained glass, flowers, herbs and jewelry. A new cooking contest this year is cinnamon rolls.
    Photography will be featured this year with an extra premium of $75 for amateur and $25 for children.
