Tiger Basketball Camp will be held for boys from June 20-24, while the girls camp will be from June 27-July 1.
A “skills challenge” has been added for the 21st annual camp. Director Larry Gardner said players will go through a timed series of skills at the beginning of the week and then again at the end of the week to see how they have improved.
“I think the kids will really enjoy this,” he said.
Also new at this year’s camp is the addition of Pizza Hut as a corporate sponsor. The restaurant will provide every boy and girl attending camp with a free pizza.
“It’s one more thing we’ve added to provide value to our program,” Gardner added.
University of Maine women’s players Samantha Wheeler and Rachel Burns will be working at the girls camp, while Randy Norsworthy, coach of the Washburn boys team and Ryan Deprey of the Caribou girls program will be clincians at the boys camp.
