Tennis teams split with Caribou

    The Houlton High School varsity tennis teams finished their regular season with a split to Caribou. The boys tennis squad won 4-1, while the girls dropped their match 5-0.
    In boys singles, Lucas Anderson battled Ezra Duplessie-Cyr, 9-8 (7-5); Zach Harvey went the distance with Matt Cote, 9-8 (7-5) and Tyler Delano bested Phil Smith, 9-8 (7-4). In doubles, Cody Woods/Craig Thomas topped Lucien Caverhill/Tyler Willey, 8-6, while D.J. McGary/Avery Kibler lost to Zach Gorence/Cameron Hill, 8-4.
    Dropping their single matches for Houlton were Kelsey Fitzpatrick (8-0) to Jenna Selander; Megan Gerath (8-0) to Laura Collins and Daisy Torres (8-2) to Ally Michaud. In doubles, Courtney Bragan/Lizzy Garcia were defeated 8-0 by Ashley Richards/Katie Keaton and Megan Maker/Danielle Daigle fell to Alexa Massey/Clara Collins, 8-0.
    The Houlton boys are 10-2 on the year.
