Collins announces new legislative assistant

    WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Susan Collins has announced that Matthew Tremblay of Fort Fairfield has been promoted to become a legislative assistant in her Washington, D.C. office. Tremblay will be responsible for handling agricultural issues.

    “Matt’s knowledge and understanding of Maine’s important agricultural industry is especially important as we debate issues that pose challenges to our farmers,” said Collins. “I am especially pleased to offer this opportunity to a staff member who grew up in the county, and knows the issues and our state so well.”
    Tremblay is a graduate of Bentley College with a degree in finance. After graduation, Tremblay worked as worked at Farm Credit of Maine as a loan officer before moving to Washington, D.C.
    For the past six months, he has been working as a legislative correspondent in Collins’ Washington, D.C. office.
