O’Brien, Keith A., 66, Mapleton; in Mapleton, May 3, 2008. A graveside service only will be held Saturday, May 10th at the Southside Cemetery in Chapman at 11 a.m. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

 

ImageMAPLETON – Keith A. O’Brien, 66, passed away Saturday, May 3rd, 2008, after a brief battle with cancer with his family by his side. Keith was born February 22, 1942, the son of Clarence and Carmel (Bard) O’Brien.
    Keith was a wonderful son, husband, step-father, grandfather, brother and uncle.Image
Keith attended Presque Isle High School and served in the U. S. Army from 1964-1966.  He worked for Coles Express for 30 years and Viking Express until their closing. He also worked for the Presque Isle Nursing Home for 10 years until the time of his illness.
    Keith was an avid fisherman in his early years. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and loved his “Big Yellow ATV.”   He was the most happy when he and his wife were riding the trails and spending time with the family.  He cared for people by his teasing ways.  He will be missed by all that knew him.
    Keith is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Lint) O’Brien of 25 years; step-sons, Kevin Webber and his wife Annedreea of Seaford, DE, Kendall Webber and Lisa Dubay of Mapleton; step-daughter, Wendy Boucher and her husband, Riki.  The apple of his eye was his eight grandchildren which he was so proud of:  Krystal, Katelyn, Kyle, Kelsey and Kurtis Webber of Seaford, DE; Brien & Lucas Boucher of Mapleton; and Kacey Webber of Presque Isle; a sister, Nancy Carney and her husband Francis of Frenchville;  two special nieces, Brenda Diefenderfer and her husband, Jeff of Georgia; Diane Bragg and her husband, Mark of Washburn; a special nephew, Michael Carney and his wife, Julie of Hampden; special great- nieces and nephews, Nicholas and Carmen Bragg of Washburn and Alex and Aaron Carney of Hampden.  He also had great love for a special dog  “Chase”.
Keith was preceeded by his parents and a sister, Barbara Mitchell.
    A graveside service only will be held Saturday, May 10th at  the Southside Cemetery (Chapman) at 11 a.m. with Murray Boyles officiating.
