An annual event in Southern Aroostook/No. Penobscot County area for a number of years has been a coordinated area yard sale. The NKVR Chamber of Commerce has put this together in the past, but as that organization no longer exists; the new sponsors are UBC of Island Falls Outreach. Elizabeth Moulton as chair will run the sale this Memorial Day weekend.
Beginning Friday May 27, through Monday, May 30, anyone wishing to be part of the listing for the sale may pay $5 to be put on an area map with directions to their place. Please call 463-3260 by Friday, May 20, to be listed and receive further information. Your sale can be any or all of the days.
In conjunction with the sale, United Baptist Church will offer table space in their parking lot for Friday and/or Saturday, May 27-28. Bring your yard sale, craft/ food or what you have to offer to the parking lot and rent a table space for $10.
Proceeds will go equally to the Island Falls playground fund and UBC Baptist Park Scholarship fund.
