‘Roostook Rides: Camaro crazy

I have always had a passion for Camaros. In high school, during the 1980s, I owned a 1974 Camaro, but lost it due to an accident that my girlfriend had with it. I always wanted another, but the time and money never fell into place for one until the year 2003.
I was looking on Ebay one night and came across a 1973 Z28 Camaro, that was in Florida, that caught my eye. I e-mailed for photos and within a couple of days, I bought it and had it shipped to Massachusetts so I could pick it up.

Ray Stone towed it home for me and told me I could fix it. He was right. It took me two years, but she sure turned out nice. I named her Thumper II, because of the accident.
We have driven her from Kittery to Fort Kent, Maine and New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We get a lot of thumb’s up and smiles of appreciation wherever we take her and have received numerous trophies for my efforts. I’m currently restoring a 1972 SS Camaro with my son, Josh, and we hope to have it finished in a year or so.
Restoring classic cars is my hobby.
