NESCOM students feted
    The New England School of Communications has announced the following local students have been placed on the school’s Honors List for the fall semester of 2010. To receive honors status a GPA of 3.0 to 3.5 needs to be maintained by the student. A GPA standing of 3.5 or above represents high honors status.
    Receiving honors distinction are: Stephen Nason, Washburn; Eric Lindsay Monticello; Nicholas Weeks, Monique Pelletier and Amanda Nadeau, all of Presque Isle; Steven Carmichael and Joseph Johnson, both of Mapleton; Nicholas Rush, Houlton; Ethan Willey, Caribou; Robert Nesbitt, Hodgdon.
    NESCom, on the campus of Husson University in Bangor, provides bachelor of science degrees in communications technology and media studies. Students can choose one of the following concentrations: audio engineering, live sound technology, video production, WebMedia, journalism, marketing communications, radio broadcasting and sports journalism.
Lee named at Liberty University
    Victoria Lee, daughter of Jay and Susan Lee of Houlton, has been named to Liberty University Dean’s List for the Fall of 2010.
    The honor is awarded to full-time students who earn a 3.5 GPA or higher.
    Lee is a sophomore studying Family and Child Development.
