He opened the door. He found a monster that ran after him.
The monster said,
“Can I be your friend?”
The boy said, “Okay.”
Now the monster said,
“What will we play?”
The boy said, “Tag!”
The monster said, “Okay.”
The boy said, “It’s suppertime. I’ve got to go. Bye.”
When I went ice fishingBy Madison Benn
Grade 1, Mrs. Callnan
A long time ago I went
ice fishing.
Ice fishing is fun because my dad caught a shark, but when my dad pulled on the fishing rod he almost fell in the hole. Then one of his friends helped him up, and then two of his friends pulled the fish in.
We were tired
so then we went inside.
I had hot chocolate.
My finger got caught on the fishing rod where the fish got caught, and it hurt.
My finger had a hole in it.
It hurt very, very bad. It bled, and I was crying.
It really hurt.
It was all over the place.

It was a gingerbread.
It was a man, and Toby was surprised that a gingerbread man was in his house.
Toby said, “Thanks, Mom and Dad. Thanks a lot.
You got it for me, and I will
share it with you.”
