Contributed photographHONORED — Friends of First Book were recently honored at a luncheon at the Crow’s Nest Event Center in Presque Isle. This luncheon was held in conjunction with a Dec. 10 Aroostook Training and Education Coalition professional development conference. Eleven individuals were honored to celebrate the 10th anniversary of First Book in Aroostook County. Since 2001, more than 10,000 books have been distributed to children and their families throughout Aroostook County through the efforts of these honorees, their organizations, and many others not named here.
