Houlton chess players vie for Aroostook honors

Five of the top players from the Houlton High School Chess Club competed in Caribou against Fort Kent’s best on Jan. 26.
     Houlton lost the first match 1-4, but came back strong in the second half to score 4-1 tying the match. Houlton is one of the five teams vying for Aroostook honors. Other teams are Caribou, Presque Isle, Fort Kent and Van Buren.
