Chimney fire

The Houlton Fire Department quickly put out a chimney fire at 83 Court St.  Monday afternoon around 2 p.m. according to Kevin Tingley, assistant fire chief. Two fire trucks responded to the scene where the owner’s sister, who declined being named, watched the firefighters at work. She said she had been there earlier in the day to visit relatives living in the house and she described the residence as “one of the older houses in town.”
