LITTLETON — The Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum will host its annual free membership supper on Saturday, Jan. 15. With 2011 paid dues individuals will receive a free supper. The menu on Saturday night includes: roast pork with a variety of side dishes, rolls, desserts and beverages. Those who are not a member, the price is $8 for the meal.
Membership fees are: single, $20; family, $30; sodbuster, $50; thresher, $100 or farmer of the year, $250. Lifetime memberships are also available; $500 for a single and $750 for a couple. The membership entitles individuals to one free supper, four newsletters a year and free admittance to the museum.
Supper begins at 4:30 p.m. and continues until 6 p.m. The museum will be open at 2 p.m. for tours and through the supper hour. There are always new items being added to the displays, so enjoy a tour while you are there.
Those who are interested in working on or contributing to any of the current projects can contact the museum. Opportunities include: replacing the museum roof, cataloguing the museum inventory, being a summer tour guide, lawn mowing, transporting donated items or cooking for suppers.
