WorkReady To Improve Your Job Future
If you think that you have career potential that is not being recognized by others, if you have had difficulty keeping a job, or if you want to improve your future job prospects, WorkReady® is for you. The Houlton Higher Education Center and Region Two Adult Education is offering this intensive 60 hour personal development course on Jan. 31 – Feb. 18, 2011, Mon. – Fri., 8am-noon. WorkReady® focuses on communication, time management, teamwork, problem-solving, interview skills, etc. Local employers are participating, and there will be plenty of opportunity for productive interaction with employers. There is no charge for this course, but there is a screening process that will begin in mid-January. Houlton Hodgdon Adult Education is taking course registrations for Winter Personal Enrichment courses. Call now to register for Quilting, Mon. 6-9 pm, Woodworking, Thur. 5-7 pm, Cake Decorating, Tues., 6-9 pm, Sewing, Wed. 6-9 pm, and Intermediate Digital Photography, Tues, 5-6:30 pm. Adult Ed and Community College Classes Start
Houlton Hodgdon Adult Education GED and college prep classes being this week (wk. of Jan. 3). The Learning Center for online and individualized studies will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 – 11:30 am and Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 – 8:30 pm. Community College classes at the Houlton Higher Education Center will begin the week of Jan. 10. There are still openings in some college classes.
