SHERMAN — The Sno-Drifters Christmas Parade, held Sunday, Nov. 28, was a big success as more than 80 children came out to visit with Santa Claus. The “Wheels of Yester-Years” was selected as the overall parade float winner.

BEST ENTRY — The “Wheels of Yester Years” float was selected as the best parade float entry at the Sno-Drifters Christmas Parade Nov. 28.
Other prizes went to Santa’s Red Hatters, Smokey the Bear, Santa, Sherman Fire Department, Island Falls Fire Department and Paul Qualey. The tree lighting ceremony was held at the clubhouse. Numerous children brought their letters for Santa.
A coloring contest was also held with the following winners selected: Grady Ritchie, 5-year-old and younger; Gabriel Chebuye, ages 6-8; and Leanne Schilkowski, ages 9-12. Each received a $5 Walmart gift card.
Winners of the Super Raffle ticket winners were 1, Cody Brackett; 2, Stuart Rand; 3, Rick and Deb Long; 4, Nate Richardson; and 5, Mary Pocock.
