A new Modern Woodmen of America Youth Service Club is starting in Lincoln. The club will have its first activity on Monday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. at Maliseet Gym, Foxcroft Rd., Houlton. Children between the ages of 10 and 16 are invited to the activity to find out about the benefits of membership.
John Walker, of Island Falls, will lead the club, and Dale A. Tudor, Lincoln, a local Modern Woodmen representative, will sponsor the club’s monthly activities.
“Since 1942, Modern Woodmen Youth Service Clubs have focused on volunteering, patriotism, education and fun. Currently, 750 clubs across the country serve thousands of children,” said Tudor.
