    HOULTON and BANGOR – Patricia Ann Lindsay, 75, died peacefully Dec. 4, 2010, surrounded by family at her home in Bangor, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Patricia was born May 30, 1935, in Houlton, where she lived most of her life. She was a caring and loving mother to six children, and “like a mom” to countless others.
    She had a quick wit that could always make you laugh, and had a strong spirit that was immeasurable. Patricia loved camping, fishing, garage sales, crafts, and being with her family.
    She was one of seven children born to the late Joseph and Arlene Schools, was the beloved wife of more than 20 years to the late Alton “Tete” Lindsay and a devoted mother-in-law to the late Douglas Gentle.
    Patricia will forever be remembered by her devoted brothers, Kenny, George and Jimmy Schools; her loving sisters, Judy Sennett, Linda Bailey and Joanne Cote; her beloved children, Kenny Malone and his wife, Carla, of New Port Richey, Fla., Kathy Gentle of New Port Richey, Fla., Jennie Malone of Wallingford, Conn., Gary Malone of Bangor, Janet Gentle of Wallingford, Conn., and Greg Malone and his wife, Lea, of Houlton; nine treasured grandchildren, Tonia, David, Barry, Joe, Clarissa, Melinda, Jessica, Emma and Gregory Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to have known her.
    Friends and family were invited to attend calling hours 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Lafayette Family Cancer Center Brewer, care of Bowers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 579, Houlton, ME 04730.
