MONTICELLO – Arnold James Good, 89, died Nov. 27, 2010, at a local hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1921, at Monticello, the son of James B. and Ivy (Garrison) Good.
Arnold was a well-known life-long “Country Farmer”, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a member of the Monticello Community Wesleyan Church, the Kiwanis Club and the Mars Hill Country Club. He was an avid snowmobiler for many years, enjoying sled trips with his many friends and family. Arnold’s character spoke for itself in everything he did; a true gentleman.
He is survived by his daughter, Heidi Good Watson and her husband, Oral of Monticello, two grandchildren, James Watson and his wife, Erin of Littleton, Kathryn Watson of Houlton; great-grandson Jacob Watson of Littleton. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years in September.
Arnold will be sadly missed by his family and his pals at the Monticello Country Store.
Funeral services were held at the Dunn Funeral Home Thursday, Dec. 2, with Pastors Jason Rooney and Steve Straubel officiating. Interment was in the Monticello Village Cemetery.
