The Houlton Police Department wishes to remind Houlton citizens, and those who park in Houlton, that all night parking ban goes into effect Nov. 1, and will remain in effect until March 31, 2011, on all streets in Houlton.
The General Ordinance of the town of Houlton – Section 14-605 reads, “No person shall park a vehicle on any street in Houlton during the period beginning Nov. 1, and ending March 31.”
This ordinance is in effect to allow town crews to remove snow. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed. Those vehicles that hinder snow removal will be towed at the owner’s expense. The Houlton Police Department urges all who park in Houlton to comply with the Ordinance, and we appreciate you cooperation.
