NARFE meeting date changed
    The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) group’s meeting which was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 28, has been changed to Thursday, Nov. 4. The luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion in Caribou. The subject of discussion will be health insurance. For more information, call 764-4468.
NESHRM scholarships to be awarded
    PRESQUE ISLE – The Northeast Society for Human Resource Management (NESHRM) is pleased to announce the Deborah Kierstead and Milton Bailey Memorial Scholarships for students currently enrolled in a business related program at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Northern Maine Community College, University of Maine at Fort Kent, or Husson College (Presque Isle campus). NESHRM will award two $500 scholarships in December.
    Scholarship applications can be obtained through the financial aid offices or business faculty at the eligible post-secondary institutions, or from the organization’s website, http://neshrm.shrm.org. Completed applications and attachments should be sent to Northeast Society for Human Resource Management, Attn:  Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 1572, Presque Isle, Maine 04769.
