Candlelight vigil is Wednesday
HOULTON — The 13th annual Candlelight Vigil will be held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Maliseet Riverside gymnasium.
The program features traditional ceremonies, a candle lighting ceremony, Four Winds drummers, “Silent No More Witnesses,” a candlelight walk and refreshments.

Debates are Wednesday
HOULTON — A reminder to all Houlton residents that candidates for Houlton Town Council and the SAD 29 school board will engage in open debate Wednesday, Oct. 20 starting at 6 p.m. at the Houlton Town Council chamber. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the debate, which will be televised on local public access Channel 14. Questions may also be e-mailed to chamber@greaterhoulton.com either in advance or during the debates. They may also be phoned in on the night of the event at 532-4216.
