CELEBRATE 60 YEARS — Peggy (Curtis) and Larry Sanders of Smyrna were the guests of honor at a 60th wedding anniversary party held at their home and hosted by their children, Dorothy White of Stuart, Fla. and Keith and Terri Sanders of Largo, Fla. Daughter Brenda and her husband Ken Jenkins of San Francisco were unable to attend but have plans to take the special couple on a trip to Hawaii at a later date. Viola (Sanders) Hersey of Oakfield and Whitfield Curtis of Pittsfield, who were attendants at the Sanders’ Aug. 6, 1950 wedding, were present for the Aug. 15 party. Others in attendance were Donna Curtis of Pittsfield; Carol Hersey, Bob and Delores Locke, Don and Lee Kennedy, and Evelyn and Merle Burpee, all of Oakfield; Stacy and Randy Emery of Island Falls; Helen and Eli Crane of Dyer Brook; Charlotte and Don Marley of Smyrna; Ronald Morton of Westbrook; Faith Curtis of Palmyra; and Ray Baston, Wilma Sanders and Gail Marshall, all of Houlton.
