Annual steak dinner at IF Fish and Game
On Friday, Aug. 6, the Island Falls Fish & Game Club is holding its annual steak dinner. The meal includes: Charcoal grilled steak; homemade dinner rolls; gigantic salad bar (featuring traditional salad ingredients, cottage cheese, macaroni & cheese, and homemade dressings); homemade pie; coffee, tea, and soda; hot dogs are also available upon request.
The meal will be served from 5-7 p.m. at the Fish & Game Club. The cost for adults is $12.50 and children 12 and younger is $6. For more information, call Reneva at 463-2504.

Soccer ref clinic is Saturday
The Northern Maine Board of Approved Soccer Officials will conduct a clinic for prospective soccer officials in the ski building at the Caribou High School athletic complex.
Bob Stedt, interpreter for the NMBASO, will be the clinician. The clinic will take place Saturday, Aug. 7 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Any person 18 years of age or older who is interested in officiating the game of soccer this fall on the middle school and junior varsity level in Aroostook County is urged to attend.
There is a fee of $35 and pre-registration is recommended.

Four-mile run/walk set for Aug. 28

The Maliseet four-mile run/walk will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28, starting at the Houlton Band of Maliseets Recreation Center on the Foxcroft Road. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race beginning at 9 a.m. Cost is $8.
The annual Health Fair follows from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
