    Houlton – Bessie Edwards Putnam Wright 92, died July 27, 2010, at a local healthcare facility.  She was born Sept. 17, 1917, at Cary, the daughter of Alexander and Maude (Potter) Edwards.
    Bessie was a member of the Cary Baptist Church and spent her life being a homemaker taking care of her family and enjoying her children and grandchildren.
    Bessie is survived by her son Orrin Putnam and his wife Lori of Monticello; her daughter Linda Ingraham and her husband Charles of Cary; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her first husband Clayton Putnam, second husband George Wright, four sisters and two brothers.
    Funeral services were held at the Dunn Funeral Home 1 p.m. Friday. Friends called at the funeral home 11 a.m. until time of service with Rev. Peter Valji officiating. Interment will be in the Cary Community Cemetery (Wilcox).
