McQuarrie, Edward H., Sr., 74, July 22, 2010.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment held in the East Hodgdon Cemetery.
    HOULTON – Edward H. McQuarrie, Sr. 74, died July 22, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born April 20, 1936 at East Hodgdon, the son of Robert and Blanche (Benson) McQuarrie.
    Ed served in the military during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, the Odd Fellows and the Amity Cary Grange.
    Ed is survived by his life long companion, Charlotte Reeves; his son, Ed McQuarrie, Jr. of Cary; four daughters, Sherry Hall and her husband Gordon of Old Orchard, Darlene Wesenberg and her husband Kim of Oconomowoc, WI, Tammy Gray and her husband Spencer of Sedgwick, Heidi Bennett of AZ; several grandchildren, one great- grandson Cody; one brother, Richard McQuarrie and his wife Maureen of WA; two sisters, Maxine Farrar and her husband Wayne, Nina Kirner and her husband Carl, all of FL; several nieces and nephews.
    He was predeceased by his former wife and friend Shirley and his daughter Carlene.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home Monday 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services were held at the funeral home Tuesday 10 a.m. with Rev. David Tuttle officiating.
