Image    PATTEN – LeRoy Wesley Giles, 67, Patten died unexpectedly July 24, 2010 at his home in Patten. He was born September 4, 1942 in Patten to Wesley and Iola (McLellan)  Giles. He married Geraldine Crouse December 21, 1963 and spent 31 wonderful years together before her death January 6, 1995.
    LeRoy worked at the Greyhound Terminal in Boston, Great Northern Paper in Millinocket and for the last 35 years operated his own construction business. He coached Patten League and played men's softball for the Hamlet & Dolby. LeRoy was a Past President and current Board of Director member of the Lumberman's Museum, Past Master of Katahdin Lodge #98 A.F. & A.M. He was also District Deputy of the 24th District, and a proud member of the Anah Shriners.
    LeRoy loved his family; son Stephen and his wife Sheila; daughter, Susan and her husband Rick Miller; grand-children whom he adored, Kristin, Katelyn, Caleb Giles and Victoria Hanson, one great-grand-daughter Gwen; six beloved siblings; brother Guy, Kay Rideout, Janice Greely, Lois Green, Brenda Raymond, Phyllis Chambers; seven brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and many, many very special friends.
    Besides his wife he was predeceased by his parents and one brother-in-law. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. at LeRoy's residence at 210 North Road, where there will be a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Patten Methodist Church.
