The University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer preservation workshops Aug. 12 and Aug. 19 at the Houlton Regional Hospital Community Education Center. The workshops, which run from 6-9 p.m., are “hands-on” classes and will cover water bath and pressure canning, freezing and drying. The cost of the workshops is $12.50 per person.
