Couples had another good showing this week and a lot of fun.  First place, in a scramble format went to Jenness and Goldie Gushe and Ralph and Valerie Powers.  In a tie for second place were Ed Quinlan, Pam Oliver, Bev Osborn, Greg Gayne, Jarice Kelley, and Sandy Newman; and Greg and Sara Douglas and Francis and Sally Cyr.
Bill Boulier and Greg Douglas added another victory in the National League division of Twilight League last Tuesday, giving them a 3-0-1 record for seven points. Jim Dyer and Chet Chase are close behind with a record of 3-1, and a total of six points. In the American League, the teams of Scot Walker and Jon Smallwood; and Dave Dubois and Eric Morris are tied at the top with 3-1 records. Congratulations also to Steve Merry, who recorded his second career hole in one. His feat was accomplished during Twilight League on hole 16, where he used a 7-iron from 175 yards. This was witnessed by Steve Edwards, Ben Walker, and Dan Cullen. His first hole in one was also on the sixteenth hole. Needless to say, Steve Merry won the closest to the pin on the sixteenth hole, while Greg Douglas was the closest on the eleventh hole.
Ben and his maintenance crew are continuing to do a great job with course conditions. The course is in prime shape, and there is no better time to get a round in. A couple of projects are also underway, including a new teeing ground on the par 3, eleventh hole which will provide a different angle of approach.
