    MERRILL – Lawrence W. Hardy, Sr., 51, died June 19, 2010 at his residence. He was born Oct. 2, 1958 at Island Falls, the son of Lawrence A. and Alta E. (Splan) Hardy.
    Larry served in the U.S. Navy. He was a very hard worker spending long days driving truck for Herb Hardy. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and granddaughter, who always put a smile on his face.
    Larry is survived by his son, Lawrence W. Hardy, II of Merrill; his daughter, Natasha Hardy and her fiancé, Josh Locke of Oakfield; granddaughter, Sophia, and a grandchild on the way; two brothers Dean Hardy and his wife, Susan of Merrill, Rocky Hardy of Old Town; four sisters Madeline Cottle and her husband, Jim of Sebec, Marlene Boutilier and her husband, Dale of Oakfield, Ida Jenkins and her husband, Charlie of Old Town, Marcia Siltz and her husband, Richard of South Paris; his very special friend Robin Robinson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Judy Hardy.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home 11 a.m. Wednesday.
