Bridgewater names trio as newest queens

    BRIDGEWATER — The Little, Junior and Miss Bridgewater Pageant was held on Saturday, May 8, at the Odd Fellows Hall. Mistress of ceremonies was Lori McQuade. The girls opened the evening with a routine to “Girls Rock.” Special entertainment was provided by 2010 Little Miss Mars Hill Gracie Giberson.

    THREE QUEENS — Three locals were crowned in Bridgewater on Saturday, May 8. Pictured, from left: Junior Miss Bridgewater 2010 Gwendolyn Parsons, Little Miss Bridgewater 2010 Breann Bradbury and Miss Bridgewater 2010 Lauren Antworth.

   The Little Miss contestants included Breann Bradbury, daughter of Bart & Heather Bradbury. Crowned Little Miss Bridgewater 2010, Breann did a ribbon dance to “America” as her talent. She also received the award for High Ticket Sales.
   Elaine Kingsbury sang “Over the Rainbow” as her talent. Her parents are Chad and Jessica Kingsbury.
   Tegan Tozier is the daughter of Matthew and Jennifer Benn. She did a ballet dance to “Rock-A-By Baby” as her talent.
   The Junior Miss contestants included Gwendolyn Parsons, daughter of Matt and Jennifer Benn and Mickey and Michelle Parsons. Crowned Junior Miss Bridgewater 2010, she recited a self-composed poem, “My Terrible Garden,” as her talent.
    Abigail Boyce, daughter of AJ and Tracy Boyce, sang “Fire Flies” as her talent.
   Kayla Perkins sang, a cappella, “Amazing Grace” as her talent. She is the daughter of George and Kay Perkins.
     The Miss Bridgewater contestants included Lauren Antworth, crowned Miss Bridgewater 2010. The daughter of Rickey Antworth, Sr. and Helena Finemore Antworth, she tap danced to “Footloose” as her talent.
   Gabrielle Brewer is the daughter of William and Janet Brewer and Rod and Joy Deschaine. She played a self-written piece on the guitar as her talent.
   The outgoing Bridgewater queens provided entertainment during the evening. 2009 Little Miss Kristen Foote did a song and dance to “Hoe Down,” and Junior Miss 2009 Whitnie Bradbury did a dance routine.
   As usual, it was a great display of talent by all the participants.
