Shelter needs help, not blame

To the editor:
I was appalled by the hurtful opinion that was written about our animal shelter and the horrible ringworm outbreak. Ringworm is usually asymptomatic in animals, so it is not quickly recognized until it is too late. The staff and volunteers at the humane society work very hard to give the animals the best of care. Their resources are limited, so if you would like to help them, donations of bleach, paper towels, gloves, towels, and high efficiency laundry detergent are much appreciated.
This tragedy has been hard on us all. Thank you to everyone who supports our humane society.
