    Houlton High School Winter Carnival royalty will be crowned on Friday after the weeklong activities conclude at the high school, as there will be no Queen’s Court this year.  King and Queen candidates are, from left, front to back, seniors, Ariel Foss and Jared Tapley; sophomores, Gabrielle McGuire and Zach Harvey; juniors, Taylor Lindsay and Ben Flewelling and freshmen, Erynne Howland and Caleb McGary. On Thursday night at 7:30 p.m., the Battle of the Bands will be held at the high school auditorium. Tickets purchased in advance are $1 for students and $2 for adults. At the door the night of the performance, tickets are $3 for students and $4 for adults.
