Northern Maine Community College releases Dean

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Northern Maine Community College Dean of Students William G. Egeler III has announced the Dean’s List for Northern Maine Community College’s 2006 fall semester. One hundred fifty-seven full-time students achieved a 3.20 average or better; 31 of these students were named to high honors with a grade point average of 3.85 or better. Eleven students had the distinction of earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
     “Not only have these students succeeded academically, but it never ceases to amaze me the challenges that many of them have overcome in their personal lives and how well they have done,” said Egeler. He noted that many students deal with a variety of issues that can hamper success, such as financial concerns, long commutes for classes, family commitments, and/or jobs in which they are working too many hours. “Kudos to all of the students who were named to the Dean’s List, particularly those who overcame great obstacles to do so.”
