Bessie Emma Brannen Davis Stockford

Stockford, Bessie E., 105, December 15, 2009.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment to be held in the spring in the Hodgdon Cemetery.     OAKFIELD- Bessie Emma Brannen Davis Stockford, 105, entered into eternal rest December 15, 2009. She was born March 21, 1904, in Oakfield, the daughter of Willard and Laura (Laskey).
    Bessie was a lifelong member of the Oakfield Baptist Church, where she help found the mission group at the church.
    Bessie is survived by two children, a son, Dennis Davis and his wife Marjorie of Oakdale CT, and their  three children; a daughter,  Ledena Dutton and her husband and their  two children; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first and second husbands, Thomas Davis and Ora Stockford; one son, Paul Brannen; two stepsons, Basel (Jerry) Davis and Thomas Davis; three brothers, Willard Brannen Jr, Norman Brannen, and Leon Brannen; four sisters, Josie Saunders, Marie Green, Nell Devvitt and Mame Therault.
    The family would like to thank the staff of Madigan Estates for their fine and loving care over the last year she spent there.
    A graveside memorial service will be held in the Spring at Hodgdon Cemetery, date and time to be announced. Donations in her memory may be directed to Oakfield Baptist Church, c/o Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton.
Bessie will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.
