    HOULTON – Clarence "Clancy" Rairdon Sr., 76, died Dec. 23, 2009, in Houlton, with his family by his side. He was born Feb. 24, 1933, in Littleton, the son of John and Lillian (Fogg) Reardon.
    He was a member of Monument Lodge No. 96 AF & AM of Houlton, York Rites, Anah Shriners of Bangor, Houlton Rotary and Grange. He was a member of Houlton Police Department, 1963-1978, and was Aroostook County Sheriff for more than 20 years – S237. Clancy was a civil defense and search and rescue director, a ham radio operator – KB1FJF, and town truancy officer. He loved to hunt, fish and go camping, and was the owner of Clancy's Glass.
    He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Bonita (Ivey) Rairdon of Houlton; seven children, Clarence Leo Jr. of Bradford, Roxana R. Mooers and Donald of Houlton, David E. and Darlene of New Limerick, Roger L. and Abbie of Houlton, Denise and Danny Geiger of Littleton, Ryan Russell and Diane of Limerick, and Allen Dickinson of Canterbury, New Brunswick; 14 grandchildren, Troy, John, Adam, Amanda, Victoria, Jordan, Ryan, April, Casey, Emily, Jonas, Eli, Natalie and Mickayla; and six great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Andrea, Bailey, Eryn, Turner and Donald; two brothers, John Reardon and Robert Rairdon; one sister, Mary Ann Stillman; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; first wife, Norma (Brewster) Locke; brother, Frederick Rairdon; and granddaughter, Brittany Bither.
    Friends called 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with a Masonic service beginning 6 p.m. with Monument Lodge No. 96, presiding. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Tuttle and Michael Rairdon officiating. Spring interment will be at Littleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
