Composting Experiment

    Angela Wotton, manager of the Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District, visited third grade students at Houlton Elementary School recently and inspired their composting experiment. The students shredded newspaper, added water and worms in addition to scraps of fruit and vegetables to create a compost worm bin which they are holding in the photo.
