    SHERMAN – Arlene H. (Campbell) Huntley, 87, departed this life and entered heaven Nov. 26, 2009, in Patten. She was born June 8, 1922, in Patten, a daughter of Fred William Campbell and Pearl Elnora (Young) Campbell. She was a granddaughter of Charles G. Campbell and Christine (Landry) Campbell, Pearl E. Young and Nellie M. (Perry) Young. She was married for 68 years to the Rev. R. Carlton Huntley, who passed away Aug. 26, 2009. Together they served the Lord in Christian ministry for 59 years in churches, daily vacation Bible schools, and summer Bible camps.
    Arlene showed tremendous courage through her many years of pain and suffering, and her biggest concern was always for others. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, had an extraordinary love for children, was a Mayflower descendent and was a member of Monarda Calvary Baptist Church, where her husband, R. Carlton Huntley, pastored for many years.
    She is survived by her son, Richard C. Huntley, III and his wife, Glenice M. (Hunt) Huntley, of Sherman; grandchildren, Richard C. Huntley IV and wife, Sumita (Pongpaonilsila) Huntley, of Bangor, Tammy J. (Huntley) Huber and husband, Scott, of Dresden, Nathan L. Huntley of Sherman and Travis Stone of Florida; great-grandchildren, Abigail R. Derstine, Kacie M. Huber, Chase R. Huber and Jacob Carlton Huber of Dresden; sisters, Christine P. (Campbell) O'Hara of Houlton and Jean M. (Campbell) Tarr of Patten; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Charles E. Sibley, Fred Clayton Campbell and Neil R. Campbell; and her grandson, Clyde W. Huntley.
    The family thanks Dr. Hrynick and his staff, the staff at Mountain Heights Nursing Facility, Patten Ambulance crew, Houlton Regional Hospital and her homecare workers, Mary Willette, Annabelle Gallagher, Terry Lyons, Diane Lane and Susan Cullen.
    Friends called 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Calvary Baptist Church, Stacyville, where the funeral service was held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Chamberland and the Rev. Donnis Willigar officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Arlene's memory to Monarda Calvary Baptist Church, care of Joyce O'Hara, 1043 Silver Ridge Road, Silver Ridge Township, ME 04776 or Gideons International. Cards will be available at the church or may be mailed to P.O. Box 65, Sherman, ME 04776, or the American Bible Society, 1865 Broadway, New York, NY 10023.
