One more FREE Computer Training Saturday
The last free Saturday Adult Education computer training session of the semester will be this Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Hodgdon Mill Pond School from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The instructor, Regina McCombs, will introduce students to the basics of computer operations and the Internet. There is no charge for this session but please call SAD 29/70 Houlton/Hodgdon Adult Education at 521-3100 ext. 5 to register.
Four students already working toward free turkey
Houlton Shop’N Save, Andy’s IGA, and County Yankee, are donating turkeys for the holidays to new SAD 29/70 Houlton/Hodgdon Adult Education students who begin working toward their GED and complete 12 hours in class before Dec. 17, 2009. As of last Thursday, four new students have already begun working toward their GED. Call the Adult Education office at 18 Military St. in Houlton to make an appointment for an individualized assessment and registration session. To qualify for the GED, you must be 18 years or older and not attending school. The GED is accepted by most employers and colleges, and there is no charge to state of Maine residents.
