PRESQUE ISLE — Bradley’s Citgo and Car Wash is offering a free wash to any veteran who visits the facility on Veterans Day.
“Veterans may visit Bradley’s 46 North St. facility in Presque Isle, form 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, to receive a complimentary wash,” said Mike Cyr, owner.
Cyr said he and his staff believe it is important to remember those who have served our country and that’s why they’ve designed a program, in conjunction with other facilities in the U.S. as part of Grace for Vets, to emphasize the importance of support for veterans by the general public.
“Veterans will only need to inform Bradley’s verbally that they are veterans in order to receive their free car wash,” he said.
Joining a group of car washes nationally, Bradley’s has decided to participate to show support for armed forces personnel and to reward veterans for their service.
Cyr has operated the business for several years, alongside his wife and sons. The store and car wash began as a dream; once built, it quickly gained in popularity and has served the needs of people of all ages. He said it’s important to honor the people who’ve protected our country and allowed families everywhere to live their dreams.
“The Bradley’s chain was started in January of 1986 with a self-service facility in Millinocket and then with our flagship location on North St. in Presque Isle with four self-service bays in the fall of 1986. My wife, Carla, and I own the chain, along with our sons. The chain is named after our oldest son, Bradley, who has Down Syndrome,” said Cyr, noting his two other boys, Douglas and Gregory, are also active in the business.
Bradley’s also has a two-bay self-service facility in Mars Hill, a two-bay self-serve and laundromat in Fort Fairfield and a touchless automatic wash and self-service bays at 103 State St. in Presque Isle.
Cyr said veterans will get quality service when they visit on Wednesday.
