The Hodgdon Recreation Department, with the support of SAD 70 will be offering youth basketball for students in grades 1-4.
The peewee basketball program runs for eight weeks, beginning on Dec. 5 under the direction of Moose Karnes. The program teaches basketball skills through weekly practices. To demonstrate those skills, students will play at halftime of the high school varsity games. The program will also address the fundamentals of the game, along with teaching floor dimensions, referee calls, passing, dribbling and shooting.
Any youth interested in playing, sign up at the Mill Pond School or call Karnes at 532-9623.
