Houlton teams split with Calais

The Houlton varsity girl’s and boy’s soccer teams finished the regular season in Calais. The following is a wrap up of the games:
    Calais 2, Houlton 1 — Clay Green’s unassisted goal midway through the second half lifted Calais to a season-ending upset of Houlton.
Josh Gillespie had 16 saves on 17 shots for the Blue Devils.
Sam Fitzpatrick had an unassisted goal for Houlton, while Jared Tapley came up with six stops on eight shots.
Houlton 5, Calais 0 — Amanda Fogarty scored a goal and added two assists to spark the Lady Shires. Vanessa Sanderson had a goal and an assist, while Chelsi Murray, Martha McPartland and Lily McLaughlin each scored. Goalie Madison Lezotte made five saves on 10 shots.
Hillary Hollingdale stopped 14 of 24 shots for the Blue Devils.
