    SHERMAN – Pauline McNally, 78, died Oct. 21, 2009, in Bangor, with her family at her side. She was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Sherman, the daughter of Dorothy (Smith) Robinson. Pauline cared deeply for her family and friends, and always remembered birthdays and other important dates in their lives. She graduated from Lemuel Shattuck with a degree in nursing, Massachusetts Bay Community College and Emmanuel College, Boston. She was a career operating room nurse in Massachusetts and Florida, and North Carolina where she was director of operating room services. She was a member of Association of Operating Room Nurses. She retired to Sherman in 1996, and spent many years enjoying family and friends. She attended Calvary Baptist Church, Stacyville.
    She is survived by one son, Brian and his wife, Sandra McNally, of Sherman; three grandsons, Keith and his wife, Nicole, Glenn and his wife, Rachel, and Alex; four brothers, Ralph and Albert Robinson, Duane and Ferd Patterson Jr.; five sisters, Jean and Norma Robinson, Norma Artus, Marlene Gothrow, and Bonnie Potter; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one infant daughter.
    Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church, Stacyville, with the Rev. Donnie Willigar officiating. Interment will be at Sherman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Lung Association, 122 State St., Augusta, ME 04330. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
