Blaine Lincoln is a hometown kind of guy. Growing up in Hodgdon, attending local schools and receiving degrees in the electrical and refrigeration field from Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor.
Lincoln returned to his roots and established Northern Maine Refrigeration, Inc. 21 years ago. Since then he has serviced his customers from one end of the state to the other. He specializes in commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, potato house ventilation systems and custom sprout inhibitor applications for potatoes. He has most recently become a dealer for Skystream wind turbines.
Producing your own electricity has become a popular investment for both the young and the more seasoned. Young people who are just starting out and are environmentally conscious are looking for ways to go green, while those more mature want to retire with lower utility bills. Generating power on your own property and watching the electrical meter turn backwards is now the ‘in’ thing to do.
Lincoln became a dealer for Skystream more than a year ago. He installed a wind turbine on his own property and began getting inquiries about it. One thing led to another and now he is in the business.
The turbines are fairly simple to install and the technology is improving daily. It is easy to connect the Skystream to the on grid homes to supplement electricity. There are no batteries or rewiring needed and the noise is minimal.
“My electrical bill has been reduced by 45 percent, since installing the Skystream,” said Lincoln. “And I use a lot of electricity.”
So give Lincoln a call at 532-4047, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or e-mail him at nri@pioneerwireless.net and he will answer any questions you may have. He also has a list of many satisfied customers that will also assist you in the decision of whether generating your own electricity is the way to go.
