Health Foundation awards 2009 scholarships

    The Health Services Foundation recently named the scholarship recipients of the Elizabeth Bass Scholarship Fund and the John T. Fitzpatrick Memorial Scholarship Fund for the Greater Houlton area.
    Elizabeth Bass Scholarships were awarded to the following: Ashir Abouleish, a 2009 graduate of Houlton High School, who will be attending Dalhousie University studying to become a Neurologist; Jayme Bither, a 2007 graduate of Hodgdon High School, who is attending  Northern Maine Community College studying to become a  Nurse; Whitney Crone, a 2006 graduate of East Grand High School, who is attending Husson University studying to become an Occupational Therapist; Alexander Harris, a 2008 graduate of Hodgdon High School, who is attending Springfield College studying to become a Physical Therapist; Leanne Hemingway, a 2007 graduate of Hodgdon High School, who is attending Husson University studying to become a Nurse; Taylor Hovey, a 2009 graduate of Houlton High School, who will be attending Husson University studying to become a Pharmacist; and Margaret Moody, a 2009 graduate of Hodgdon High School, who will be attending University of Maine at Fort Kent studying to become a Nurse.
    Elizabeth Bass and  John T. Fitzpatrick Memorial Scholarships were awarded to: Colleen Fitzpatrick, a 2009 graduate of Houlton High School, who will be attending Husson University studying to become a Nurse.
