Houlton – George H. Dubay, 84, died June 8, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 27, 1924, at Stockholm, the son of Patrick J. and Rose C. (Lavoie) Dubay.
George served in the US Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a communicant of the Saint Mary of the Visitation Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. George worked for over 50 years throughout Aroostook, Washington and Penobscot counties as a Master Floor Mechanic with many of those years spent with his co-worker and friend Ray Cunliffe.
He is survived by four sons, Larry Dubay of Gatesville, TX, David Dubay of Crawford, Glenn Dubay of Piano, TX, Dale Dubay of Old Town; one daughter, Susan Caylor of Saco; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilford Dubay and one sister, Teresa Dubay both of CT; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Rena; brothers, Mitchell and Dennis; and sister, Mildred Keitz.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at the Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev.
